The Robertshaw FP-45 Antifreeze Valve 43F OP is a temperature-activated protection component designed to prevent freezing within water circulation lines. A thermostatic sensing element that reacts to the temperature of the fluid and opens when the temperature in the surrounding area gets close, and water is released to facilitate the movement of warmer fluid through piping installed in HVAC systems. The valve body is directly connected to the water line by threaded fittings, which is a component of the freeze protection pathway of the system.
