Trane DHY1456 Liquid Filter Drier 1/2 X 3/8

The Trane DHY1456 is a Liquid Filter Drier an essential but small part of the Trane heat pump systems. This is a 6.6” long device that measured serves the dual purpose of protecting your system. Sitting within the liquid line, it performs two functions, namely that of a filter and a desiccant dryer. The desiccant removes the moisture content of the refrigerant. Any form of moisture inside refrigerant gas forms ice formation within the system and in the process influences the performance of the system and may also cause some damage. This has enamored it to different categorizations of Trane heat pump models, specifically, connection type ODM x ODM and refrigerant compatibility HC, HCFC HFC & HFO.
