The Johnson Controls F59H-1 Sump Pump Switch with External Mounting is a useful device created to control the sump pump operation depending on the water level. This small but sturdy switch has DPST configuration which means that it manages both lines of a circuit at once. Inside the sump unit is a float switch that is tethered so that when the water level in sump pit rises, the float switch is activated to turn on the sump pump.
