The Rheem-Ruud 611044 3-Ton Thermostatic Expansion Valve w/ Bleed Port is one of the most essentialcomponents used in the HVAC to regulate the flow of refrigerant to ensure maximum cooling. This valve will better serve air conditioners that require regulating the refrigerant's flow within the system. It has 3/8" x 1/2" sweat connection and works on R-410A refrigerant. The 611044 serves as a thermostatic expansion valve-TXV and measures temperature and pressure at the outlet of the evaporator coil. It opens or closes depending on the factors, allowing more or less refrigerant flow into the evaporator to maintain the superheat level constant. Precise management gives well heat transfer, efficient cooling, and keeps away problems such as floodback to the compressor. The valve is fitted with a bleed port for purging non-condensable gases in the system so that efficiency is always retained.
