Carrier 30RA502112 Expansion Valve

The Carrier 30RA502112 is a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV), the major component of air conditioning/heat pump systems with R410A refrigerant. Situated in the refrigerant line, the TXV controls the amount of refrigerant flow depending on the pressure and temperature changes. When the liquid refrigerant enters the TXV, it flows through a small orifice and therefore expands and cools. The TXV works similarly to an automatic valve, which regulates the pressure and temperature of the evaporator coil. This one regulates this or that orifice to admit the necessary pressure and temperature in the coil.
