Carrier EK02JA170 Fusible Plug 1/16" NPT 160°F-170°F

The Carrier EK02JA170 is a 1/16” fusible plug used in HVAC equipments. Fusible plugs are safety devices that are provided with a fusible part in them. When the temperature goes high of the set limit, the element melts and makes a hole and the system stops. In the case it melts between 160 and 170°F. This safety feature is essential in the operation of HVAC systems to protect the equipment and in particular compressors and such like from over heating. This small size of 0.5” x 0.4” x 0.5” makes it possible to fix it in small areas in HVAC equipment.
