The Carrier EF660022 Solenoid Valve Kit is an electro-magnetically operated valve to be used in Carrier HVAC systems. This small unit has external dimensions of 4.41” length, 7.56” width, and 2.28” height and uses a 5/8- inlet and outlet for the fluids. Unlike the conventional valves that have to be operated manually, the EF660022 is operated by an electrical coil (solenoid) to open and close the valve. When supplied with 120V of power, the solenoid produces a magnetic field that lifts a internal mechanism to allow for fluid flow. The valve is designed to be shut off, or non-acting, in its initial position and only opens when signaled to do so.
