The Honeywell Y7220A7215 Economizer System is that enhances the energy efficiency of HVAC equipment namely rooftop units and air handlers. This system uses dry bulb temperature sensors to decide whether or not the outside air is cool and dry enough to use for free cooling. During the appropriate weather, the economizer allows fresh air into the building through the opening of the dampers thereby lessening the burden of the mechanical cooling system. This also reduces energy use and lowers overall operating expenses. The black motor actuator contains the control of the dampers. These include lower energy expenses, longer equipment life through minimizing the time the compressor operates, and better indoor air quality due to fresh air from outside.
