The Carrier HF23BJ047 is an economizer actuator which is an essentialpart of carrier HVAC systems that is designed to ensure energy and comfort. It does so by controlling the proportion of fresh air drawn into a building about the inside air. In moderate weather conditions, the economizer actuator enables fresh cool air into the system, thus minimizing the use of mechanical cooling and hence energy use. This electromechanical device gets inputs from the thermostat or control system. Depending on these signals, the actuator optimally places an air damper, regulating the mixture of outside and inside air.
