The Carrier EA09KB595 is a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) which is a crucial component of refrigerant-based HVAC systems. It exactly controls the amount of refrigerant that enters the evaporator coil. The TXV monitors the temperature within the evaporator and adjusts the amount of refrigerant flow to achieve the appropriate level of cooling. This helps reduce cases whereby the refrigerant is overfed which results in icing over of the evaporator coil and low system efficiency.
