Carrier EA02HB515 Expansion Valve

The Carrier EA02HB515 is a Thermal Expansion Valve, used in HVAC systems. The coolant leaving the coil is hotter and the TXV will open to admit more refrigerant to cool the air. During cold times, the TXV reduces the flow rate, not allowing the system to cool down to the extreme. It is constructed from bi-metal to ensure it is strong and the sensing elements enable it to respond to changes in temperature and also to withstand high temperatures. It is 4.4” long by 3.0” high and for connection to the copper pipes within the system, it uses either Sweat or braze connections.
