The Johnson Controls T-5210-1002 Duct Temperature Transmitter is a reliable way to monitor air temperature in ducts. This transmitter employs a platinum Resistance Temperature Detector to measure temperature at a particular point in the duct. In other words, resistance increases with temperature and decreases with air cooling. This resistance shift is then converted to a steady 4-20 mA electrical signal. Today’s building automation systems can make sense of this basic signal without a problem. Its housing is of metal or high-durability plastic that offers long life in an HVAC environment. With this transmitter, it becomes possible to fine-tune heating and cooling equipment by having an accurate and constant electrical output. This leads to enhanced comfort for the occupants of the facility and also energy savings throughout the facility.
