The Trane DHY1469 Liquid Line Filter Drier, essential protection mechanism for Trane HVAC especially,it has a 4.63 tons. This measuring 6.6” long and having a diameter of 3/8”, the compact unit is placed inline with the refrigerant piping. It is constructed from steel and is UL listed and can handle temperatures from -40°F to 158°F. In this model, a 5 cubic” desiccant core attracts moisture and contaminants such as dirt and metal shavings inside the unit. These impurities are detrimental to the system because they cause corrosion, decrease efficiency and can lead to compressor failure.
