Trane CTR2731 Double Pole Three Phase Contactor 120V 40A

The Trane CTR2731 is a type of contactor with unique features of a double pole and three phases it’s suitable for heavy-duty in HVAC applications. As is said in other words, it is a switch designed to manage heavy electric currents. It has a 120-volt power rating and a 40-amp current rating and can handle several high-power components at once. The contactor ignores its contacts through the use of an electromagnet to break and make their connections. Normally the contacts are in the open position, when energized the magnet closes the two contacts, thus closing the circuit to allow the flow of electricity. Pulling out the start button de-energizes the contactor that releases the magnet, parting the contacts and breaking the current.
