The Trane HTR15189 is a crankcase heater manufactured to be used with Trane HVAC systems only. This component is about 9 inches long, 8 inches wide, and 1 inch high and is mounted around the compressor’s crankcase. Its heating element is 15.5” long and has a power of 70W or 75W depending on the need of the system and uses 240V power supply. This heater is UL certified and is essentialin eliminating the refrigerant migration during the off cycles. This keeps the crankcase oil warm to avoid having the refrigerant condense and dilute the oil.
