Trane CPT1283 Capacitor 1.5 MFD 208/230V

The Trane CPT1283 is a 1.5 Micro Farad Capacitor that is manufactured for Trane HVAC systems only. This rectangular shaped capacitor which is only 4.5 inches in length starts and drives the system’s fan motor. It connects to a quick-connect terminal and is placed easily; the capacitor is like a small battery that stores electrical energy. Whenever the fan motor is to start, this capacitor supplies the extra energy stored in it to overcome the initial inertia and to bring the motor to normal rotation. It provides for proper air circulation in the HVAC system, and that makes it possible to cool or heat the living space as can be desired.
