The Johnson Controls A-4000-156 is a 5-micron complete filter assembly that is used to safeguard your HVAC system’s condensate drain line. Constructed from a plastic shell and a steel filter, it extracts contaminants with a size of 5 micrometers from condensate, a byproduct of the cooling process. This automatic filter assembly does not require electricity. It operates at the pressure within the condensate drain line, which is usually below 150 psi, to operate. The 5-micron element of the filter removes dirt, rust, algae, and other debris that may block the drain line as condensate passes through the filter.
