Trane COM13121 Scroll Compressor 1.5Ton R22 230V 1-Phase

The Trane COM13121 Scroll Compressor is a robust compressor intended for cooling in small residential uses. A small and complete block (hermetic) usually painted black containing secure stub tubes for circulation of the refrigerant. This was not a piston-based compressor as commonly used, but a scroll one as used in the Trane model. In the sealed housing, two intertwined scrolls act as a rapid pump to compress the refrigerant gas. This design resulted in a 1.5-ton capacity, approximately 18,000 BTUH, which was suitable for handling moderate cooling loads in houses.
