Trane INS1972 Collector Box Insulation

The Trane INS1972 is a White Collector Box insulation developed at 15.3”-long specifically for Trane Solar Thermal Collectors. These solar collectors accumulate light and apply it to the heating of water for multiple purposes. The heat is trapped within the collector box, this material is crucial to this process. Made of a material with a thickness of 0.313”, it could be fiberglass or a similar material, so it minimizes the heat transfer to the surrounding air and therefore ensures that collector fluid is properly heated. Less energy is lost through the walls and this improved thermal performance enables the production of hot water for pool heating or other hot water systems in homes.
