The Packard CH101340 Crankcase Heater is a heating element designed for refrigeration and compressor assemblies. It warms the compressor housing during off cycles to reduce refrigerant migration and maintain proper lubricant conditions before startup in HVAC systems. It is placed around the lower section of the compressor shell, it works with the system controls to prepare the unit for operation. With a 54W output and 480V rating, it is used in commercial cooling equipment where temperature management of the compressor assembly is required.
