The Manitowoc Ice AR-10000-P is a single-cartridge water filter built exclusively for Manitowoc ice machines that can produce up to 650 pounds of ice per day. It works by clearing impurities and pollutants out of the water supply, which enhances the ice that is generated in terms of quality and clarity. A carbon block filtering technique eliminates several contaminants from the water as it flows through the cartridge, including dirt, chemicals that cause taste and odour, chlorine, and particles as small as 0.5 microns. This covers possible health issues such as giardiasis and cryptosporidium cysts. Silver impregnation, which is incorporated into the filter, aids in inhibiting the formation of mould, bacteria, algae, and slime inside the ice maker.
