Trane CTR2592 3-Pole Contactor 50 AMP 120V

The Trane CTR2592 is a heavy-duty electromagnetic switch used to control high-power electrical loads in Trane HVAC systems. This contactor is a small design of about 3.3" long but is a powerful relay. The Trane is a core component in being a larger contactor assembly, controlling electrical flow. The contactor's coil available separately is supplied with a low voltage signal usually 120V in this case that activates and creates a magnetic field. Then this magnetism turns on a switch in the contactor, allowing a high current of up to 50 amps to flow through the screw terminals of the contactor into HVAC system components such as motors, heaters, and compressors.
