The ASCO 8220G93 is a normally open solenoid valve intended for use in HVAC systems. It is a two-way valve that responds to an electrical signal by opening and closing to regulate the flow of hot water or steam. The valve opens to let steam or hot water pass through when it is powered. When the valve is de-energized, it closes and the fluid flow is stopped.
