Lennox 72L12 2-Pole DPST Contactor 40A 24V

The Lennox 72L12 2-Pole Contactor is a contactor relay ideal for use in electric current-equipped HVAC systems. While a switch just opens and closes circuits, a contactor uses an electromagnetic arm to open and close circuits and it can handle more current and is safer. This particular contactor has 2-poles to operate two different circuits and has a rating of 40 AMP on each pole. Designed for 24V control systems and operating at 50/60 Hz, this contactor is also capable of handling short-duration current spikes of up to 240 AMPs that are typical of HVAC compressor start-up.
