The Siemens 599-03181 is a compact solid brass valve body. The design is for accurate flow control in HVAC systems. This normally closed, two way valve has an equal percentage flow characteristic and offers reliable flow control over a broad pressure range. It is a 1/2" size, it is a 1.6 flow coefficient, so it's for water, and other fluids, so long as the temperature is between 20°F to 250°F. Because of its superior corrosion resistance provided by the brass construction, it is appropriate for use in a variety of HVAC applications. An actuator is usually used with this valve body.
