The Hydrolevel 550P is a low water cut-off (LWCO) device specifically designed for hot water boilers and can also be used as a secondary cut-off for steam boilers. It acts as a safety measure by automatically shutting down the burner if the water level in the boiler falls below a predetermined safe limit. This 120-volt device features a manual reset button, a test button with an LED indicator light, and a longer probe for wider compatibility. When the water level drops, the 550P triggers an immediate power interruption to the burner. If the low water condition persists for 30 seconds, the burner circuit locks out, requiring manual reset. The test button allows for safe verification of the circuit's functionality without affecting the water level. This ensures your boiler operates safely and efficiently.
