The Spirax-Sarco 54532C TD52 is a one-inch stainless steel thermodynamic steam trap intended for use in high-pressure steam systems. It functions by trapping steam and automatically releasing condensate, which is water created from steam. To discharge cold condensate and air during operation, a disc inside the trap opens. When hot condensate flashes into steam, a low-pressure zone is created, which draws the disc shut.
