The Rheem-Ruud 47-102436-06 Limit Switch is safety component in HVAC equipment to prevent equipment from getting over heated. This auto reset switch disables the system from its operation at a certain temperature level (110F) so as to avoid causing damage. When the temperature drops back to a safe level of ninety degrees Fahrenheit the switch can then turn on and enable the HVAC unit again. Primarily meant for flanged airstream mounting, this switch is of purple color with an enclosed disc face and a 1/4” connection. As it is structure it has low profile that makes its installation easy.
