Heatcraft Refrigeration 4313F Drain Pan Heater is an electric heating coil that is used to prevent the formation of ice and to ensure that cooling equipment is clear of condensate drainage. It operates by resistive heating element where electrical energy is converted to heat and has a 36 inch length of heater that heats the drain pan area to ensure that the condensate collected in the refrigeration and HVAC system does not freeze during operation. It operates at 400 watts on 230-volt power. The heater is mounted below or next to the drain pan in which the electrical leads are connected to the system power circuit.
