The Johnson Controls VG1245BN is a 3/4" 2-way forged brass ball valve that is used for the flow control in hydronic heating and cooling systems and domestic water applications. It has stainless steel trim for higher sturdiness and resistance to rusting. A ball valve is designed to operate with a spherical disc with a bore in the middle. Once the handle is turned, the ball rotates to make an alignment with the flow path to let fluids pass through. Turning the handle 90° stops the water by covering the hole. The VG1245BN is best suited to applications where there is a need to shut off and control the flow of substances.
