The Lochinvar & A.O. Smith 100276752 3" Extension Relief Valve is a pressure and temperature safety part designed for use in HVAC systems, boilers and commercial water heating equipment. It is designed with a 3/4" NPT connection to extend the relief valve discharge point to assist control the discharge of excess pressure or high-temperature water when system conditions exceed 150 PSI or 210F. It is used in conjunction with hydronic heating and hot water systems where the need for proper pressure management for routine operation and equipment protection exists.
