York S1-024-31995-000 2-Wire Hard Start Device

The York S1-024-31995-000 is a two-wire hard start kit designed to assist HVAC compressors in overcoming the first electrical kickstart. This small device, measuring 2-3/4” x 4”, is suitable for 3.5 to 5-ton air conditioning systems because it is 25 amps and 265 volts. This hard start device provides the compressor with an extra kick-start when it is first switched on, to help it to achieve running speed more quickly. Thus, the load on the compressor is lower, the equipment life is longer and the efficiency is higher.
