The York S1-FRNR70 Fusetron Buss Fuse protects a 70A, 250V electrical circuit by opening the current path when excessive current passes through its fuse element. During an overload or short circuit, the element heats and melts, disconnecting the protected circuit before abnormal current continues through connected wiring. Installed in a compatible fuse holder, it provides circuit protection for electrical loads in HVAC systems. The fuse remains conductive during normal current conditions and opens only when the rated current condition is exceeded. This sacrificial operation prevents excessive current from continuing through the protected wiring and connected equipment.
