Siemens 242-00233 3 way zone valve is an HVAC system device for controlling water or other fluid flow. It’s a 1” brass valve with flow coefficient of 7.0, meaning the valve will be able to control fluid flow. A 24 volt AC power supply and spring return actuator provide a dependable operation and the valve controls fluid flow to one of two outlets in response to the electrical signal it receives. The actuator activates when the valve is activated and makes internal parts of the valve move so fluid can flow through only a single port. In the de-energized the spring returns the valve to the original position, then flows via the other port.
