DiversiTech 216-259 Start Cap, 216-259Mfd 110/125V

The DiversiTech 216-259 Start Cap is a starting device necessary for use in initiating single phase AC motors used in HVAC systems. In the starting of motor, it gives a short spike of additional current which enables the motor to overcome the initial load and attain its no load speed. This is an electrolytic, non-polar capacitor which is housed in a round phenolic resin case that is compact in design to protect the capacitor from environmental conditions. It is an HVAC capacitor that comes with a voltage rating of 110/125V and capacitance range of microfarads. In providing the required extra power during starting, the DiversiTech Start Cap assists in smooth running of the motor, minimizes the load on the motor and consequently increases its durability.
