The Trane COM10281 Scroll Compressor is a robust compressor for large cooling loads in medium commercial applications with environmentally sound R-410A refrigerant. This Trane compressor is not a piston type of compressor but a scroll type of compressor for better performance. Two intertwined scrolls located in the hermetic casing work as a compressor – they actively compress the refrigerant gas. This design equates to a 4.75-ton (approximately 57,000 BTUH) capacity, perfect for handling heavy cooling loads in semi-commercial applications. Leak-proof brazed stub tubes allow the refrigerant to circulate through the condenser while POE oil is used for lubrication.
