The Trane HTR15197 Crankcase Heater is a light unit that helps to solve issues in your Trane compressor. A heating element that is optimized for your system’s performance. Unlike conventional space heaters, heats the compressor’s crankcase, which is a critical compartment. Using low amount of heat and a heating wire of 39.69" in length, the Trane keeps the refrigerant from moving to other parts of the system during off-cycles. This makes it easy for the compressor to start up and prevents failures that are attributed to the build up of refrigerant in the crankcase. With a standard voltage of 200V and a diameter of 10”, fits different Trane air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
