Lennox 17F10 Collector Box

The Lennox 17F10 is a Collector Box, with dimensions of 2.8” x 3.45”, it is a replacement part for Lennox HVAC systems, it can work with heat pumps, but it is compatible with other brands that use a similar 24V cold end header box, but this should be confirmed. This small box is used as a connecting point for refrigerant lines. They effectively gather refrigerant from other parts of the heat pump system. This refrigerant takes heat from the home during the cooling mode of the air conditioning system. The refrigerant that is collected is then directed toward the compressor which is the mechanism that makes the refrigerant pose adequate pressure for heat exchange in the cooling process.
