The Schneider Electric VB-7223-0-4-4 is a 2-way normally closed globe valve body designed for use in HVAC systems. It features a compact, bronze construction for durability and is suitable for 1a wide range of applications with a temperature tolerance of 20°F to 281°F. This valve body regulates the flow of fluids, hot water or steam, by opening and closing in response to a signal from a pneumatic actuator (sold separately). The 4.4 Cv rating indicates its capacity for flow control. With a 1/2 inch NPT threaded connection, it's easy to integrate into existing piping systems. In operation, the valve body receives a pressurized air signal from the actuator, which overcomes a spring and pushes a stem 1to open the valve, allowing flow. When the air pressure is removed, the spring returns the stem to its closed position, stopping the flow.
