Rheem-Ruud SP12841 3-Pole 30A-Contactor 120V Coil

The Rheem-Ruud SP12841 is a contactor of 3 poles; it is a heavy duty electrical switch used in controlling the heating and air conditioning equipment. This small component is a 120-volt coil and has a current rating of up to 30 amps. It operates at temperature condition of 40° F to 170° F and therefore ideal for use under different conditions. A contactor differs from a simple switch; it is controlled by means of a low-voltage electrical signal which is supplied to the coil. In the motivated state the coil opens and closes the internal contacts of the contactor. This is mostly used within the HVAC systems to switch on high power components like the compressor or heating component.
