The Johnson Controls V-4440-1001 is a three port, three position, pneumatically operated, water valve for use in HVAC applications. It controls the flow of hot or cold water through the use of compressed air signal to adjust a spring loaded internal plug. It has the benefit of washing hot water with cold water in an effort to arrive at the right temperatures. This valve is particularly suitable for use in applications where fine control of water flow is needed such as zone control, fan coil units and radiant heating. The pressure range of this product is 4-12 psi while the Cv rating is 1.4; it plays a vital role in temperature control in HVAC equipment. The use of cast brass construction provides a longer product life, and also makes the product resistant to corrosion.
