Johnson Controls TE-636S-1 Thermistor Type II Sensor 10K Ohm

The Johnson Controls TE-636S-1 is a thermistor sensor which is a resistor that is utilized in the HVAC systems specifically to measure temperature of the air. Thermistors are way different from the normal resistors you would find in circuits in the sense that their resistance varies with temperature. There is however a special type today which is referred to as the Type II thermistor where the end product’s resistance reduces as the temperature increases. It has a nominal resistance of 10,000 ohms at 73°F (23°C) and it works between 32°F to 158°F (0°C to 70°C). The resistance of the sensor is then readjusted in order to get the right heating or cooling from the HVAC system.
