Trane DHY1462 Suction Filter Drier 1 1/8"

The Trane DHY1462 suction filter drier is designed mainly for home HVAC systems including air conditioners and heat pumps. This 1 ⅛” diameter component performs several functions to protect the system’s compressor and guarantee proper functionality. First, it eliminates dust and foreign particles including dirt and metal particles which, if allowed to circulate with the refrigerant, would affect the compressor. Second, it removes moisture from the refrigerant gas which otherwise, would freeze and form ice within the system damaging the system and or reducing on its efficiency. The Trane DHY1462 is brazed copper solder connected for secure installation and it can handle a maximum temperature of 70°C (158°F) and a working pressure of 507.63 PSI
