The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 061237 REM Filter-Drier Core Rh-48 is an essential part used in refrigerator and air conditioning. This is the primary protective barrier to such substances as moisture, acids, and debris, circulating in the refrigerant. The core itself is filled with a desiccant material, normally a mixture of activated alumina and a molecular sieve. While passing through the core the desiccant removes moisture and other contaminants from the refrigerant protecting the delicate components such as compressors and expansion valves from rusting or corrosion.
