Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 047615 Filter Drier 1/2" SAE EK-164

The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 047615 Filter Drier EK-164 is a refrigerant line protection part that eliminates moisture and contaminants in the system refrigerant stream. It uses desiccant-filled housing with 1/2-inch SAE connections that are supposed to be used in the liquid lines of air conditioners, heat pumps, and other packaged HVAC systems to trap water, acids and particles as the refrigerant passes through. Dryer is piped between the condenser and expansion part into the drier. This filter drier helps ensure the effective heat transfer, minimize the possibility of internal corrosion and valve sticking.
