The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 047604 Filter Drier EK-053 is a liquid-line HVAC system component that is used to eliminate moisture, acids, and other contaminants in refrigerant. It has a compressed desiccant having an outlet screen and 3/8" ODF solder connections to install safely in the liquid refrigerant line. A filter drier is used to trap water and debris to avoid blockages and corrosion and ensure efficient heat transfer.
