Raypak 006445F Automatic High Limit Control 180°F

The Raypak 006445F is a 180-degree Fahrenheit automatic high limit designed exclusively for use with Raypak pool heaters. A temperature-sensitive sensor in the high limit keeps track of the water's temperature inside the heater. The sensor initiates an automatic shutoff mechanism when the water temperature reaches or surpasses 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius). By cutting off the burner's gas supply, this halts combustion and stops the temperature from rising further. The high limit automatically resets when the water temperature drops below a reset threshold, which is typically a little less than 180°F. This permits the heater to function again when safe circumstances are satisfied. The high limit mitigates the risk of overheating-related equipment damage and dangerous circumstances by automatically turning off the heater in the event of overheating.
