The Watts 0067372 Expansion Tank is a pressure-balancing component used to accommodate volume changes in water HVAC systems. It operates using an internal diaphragm that isolates air and water, allowing the tank to compress the air support when the water expands during operation in hydronic and boiler HVAC systems. It is connected to the system piping, whereby the PLT-20 layout permits the expanded water volume to flow into the tank while maintaining the constant system pressure. As the temperature diaphragm shifts to fit the higher volume and to maintain the pressure levels.
