The Venstar VSACC0620 Lock Ring Cover is a secure part of an enclosure used in air conditioning and heat pump HVAC systems to cover the ignition ring and other hardware on ports of operation. Its essential role is to avoid ingress of debris and unintended contact with the operating valve area and still be able to reach it to perform repairs and charge it. It is the process of attaching the cover to the lock ring on the wiring port of the outdoor unit.
