The Trane VAL9597 is an integral part of high-capacity R410A HVAC systems for precise refrigerant control and measures only 6.3" long to protect the compressor in 6-ton systems. Made of durable stainless steel with outside diameter flare connections for secure installation, the Trane VAL9597 is built. A thermostatic actuator is used to detect temperature variations in the evaporator coil. The valve is based on this information and precisely controls the amount of R410A refrigerant reaching the coil through the sized capacity tubes. An underfilled coil will reduce cooling efficiency, and an overfilled coil may damage the compressor.
